A host of celebrations are planned for February 20 when the Belgian Beer Cafe at the Grand Millennium Dubai turns two, with everyone invited to join in the fun.
A quintessential cafe haunt familiar in 19th century Belgium with its atmospheric art nouveau decor, the venue has enjoyed non-stop popularity since its launch in 2010, and to mark this success, management at the hotel will be hosting a spectacular party. On the menu will a gigantic birthday cake – ceremonially cut and distributed at 20:00 hours – as well as complimentary snacks and selected beverages between 19:00 and 20:30 hours. Surprise guests will be dropping in, early birds can benefit from a ‘buy one, get one free’ offer from opening at midday until 19:00 hours, while those making a night of it will be delighted with a 20 per cent discount on their total bill from 20:30 until 02:00 hours. In addition, there will be free tasters of a wide selection of beverages, including the 40-plus Belgian beers for which the Belgian Beer Cafe is naturally famed – complete with the two fingers of foam that are the hallmark of the European brew. According to Mr Peter Mansourian, General Manager of the Grand Millennium Dubai, the highlight will be on fun: “The Belgian Beer Cafe is established as a convivial meeting place, where regulars comes to meet friends, watch international sporting events on the widescreens there, or just enjoy authentic beer and Belgian fare in a relaxed environment,” he said.
