Ramadan is the time when most restaurants remained closed during lunch. However, if you are a non-Muslim and looking for home-made Filipino food, head for Admiral Plaza Hotel in Bur Dubai. The hotel has got a tempting open buffet with a variety of delicious Filipino dishes at the 'Nipa Hut' restaurant served daily from 12.00 noon to 10.00 pm. The buffet is priced at AED 49 per person, with children aged below six years dining free and those aged between 6 and 12 years enjoying a 50% discount.

The hotel has just recently undergone a soft refurbishment and is especially popular with Filipinos, who form a significant percentage of the expatriate community in Dubai. It is now going the extra mile to cater to its key clientele by serving this special buffet during Ramadan at 'Nipa Hut' in a familiar environment straight out of their home country.
