Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha Is Now HACCP Certified
Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha has been awarded the HACCP System certificate, signifying that the hotel operates in line with the top health and hygiene regulation for hospitality services.
The HACCP System – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point system – is a complete food safety management system which looks at all stages of food production, meaning that hygiene risks are assessed and prevented rather than discovered later on.
It is internationally recognised and is the top level of food safety that hotels aim for. With HACCP certification guests can be sure that strict guidelines are in place and regulated practices implemented at the hotel, meaning their health and safety is first and foremost in all food preparation.
Holiday Inn Dubai has worked hard to ensure all F&B staff are fully HACCP trained and that all facilities are up to and above the standard HACCP certification requires.
Hotel General Manager, Reda Moukhtar said that the adoption of the HACCP System was something they had to undergo to ensure complete safety for the guests of the hotel.
“It’s something that all hotels should really be certified for, as the safety of guests is paramount. Food safety and hygiene is something we practiced diligently anyway, but HACCP is the top system that sets all the guidelines and methods of working to the highest degree.
“The entire hotel staff was briefed on the implementation of HACCP, so all individuals were aware of it even if they were not in F&B,” he said.
“The F&B department worked incredibly hard to ensure everyone was familiar with their duties regarding HACCP, both in its adoption and implementation. We’re pleased to be officially certified and, with HACCP on board, guests can be safe in the knowledge we’re dedicated to providing the high standards they expect from Holiday Inn.”
