Italian Cooking Class For Children At Coral Beach Resort - Sharjah

On November 15th, Italian Chef Daniela Bovio entertained and taught kids the secrets of culinary art and preparation of some of the most famous Italian dishes. At the end of the course the little chefs prepared a meal for their parents and guests. This special experience was held at the Hotel’s Italian restaurant Al Dente from 4pm to 7pm and was coordinated by the “Italian Industry & Commerce Office in the UAE” in conjunction with the “Coral Beach Resort Hotel, Sharjah” and “Officina del Gusto” as part of the Italian Festival Weeks 2010.

Daniela Bovo said, “In Italy we have a great cultural and gastronomical heritage to share and pass on. Too often, we tend to forget that food is a unique medium to communicate and exchange. This is what this event and Officina del gusto are all about: the power of sharing information and emotions.” Officina del Gusto is a gastronomy cultural centre founded in 2006 by Daniela Bovio and Luciano Bertolero.
Located in Moncalieri, Turin, it is not just a culinary school, but also a center of wine and food culture in which there is cooking classes, literary events, tastings, meetings with producers, and thematic workshops. The aim of the gastronomy centre is to convey the great and multifaceted world of the Italian gastronomy to people.

Daniela Bovio is a chef with a long professional experience and with a high level vocational training. It is that drive that led her to establish one of the first gastronomy culture centers in Italy “Officina del Gusto”. She is the author of the cooking course “Sale e Pepe” and continuously follows her aspiration to share the passion that drives her: Cooking.
