New General Manager Takes the Helm at the Kempinski Nile Hotel in Cairo

Former executive assistant manager at the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, Fuat Koroglu has moved from Dubai to Cairo to take over as general manager at the new Kempinski Nile Hotel in Cairo.

A native of Turkey, he graduated from Istanbul University with a MA in business administration and qualifications in tourism management before joining Swissotel The Bosphorus as a management trainee, gaining experience in food & beverage as well as operations prior to his move in to banquet services and then becoming restaurant manager within the hotel.


Capitalising on this hands-on experience, Fuat moved to the Ciragan Palace in its pre-opening phase in 1992 to head up its banquet operations – an arena he made his own with promotion to convention services manager, director of banquet operations and finally director of food and beverage. During this time, he consistently exceeded financial goals and supervised high profile events for organisations such as NATO, the World Economic Forum, Black Sea Conference as well as the very top tier of Istanbul weddings. Taking this experience overseas, his first posting outside of Turkey was at the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, which he joined in 2009 as
executive assistant manager, overseeing exceptional achievements in quality assurance and sustainability issues, with the hotel now ranked among the top two for LQA both in Dubai and through the Kempinski group. Fluent in English and Turkish, with a grasp of French and Arabic too, Fuat brings all his operations and banqueting skills to the fore in his current role as general manager at the new Kempinski Nile Hotel with a remit to establish the property as a haven in central Cairo, offering all the services and luxury facilities of a global network while retaining the personal charm of a boutique hotel.
