New Spa and Recreation Manager Appointed for the Jasmine Spa at Grand Millennium Dubai

Joining the Grand Millennium Dubai as spa and recreation manager is Afrah Hamdy, previously manager at the VLCC Mirdiff Centre, part of an international network specialising in weight management and beauty treatments.
An Egyptian national Afrah graduated in accounting and business management from Cairo University and took her first steps in to the spa sector with a post as health club co-ordinator at the InterContinental hotel in Sharm-El-Sheikh, following which she joined the new Grand Rotana at the Red Sea resort as therapist. |

Moving to the Arabian Gulf in 2009, she joined VLCC in July as part of the pre-opening team for Al Ain VLCC centre. She then went for training to India through VLCC Co. In October, 2009, Afrah took over as manager of VLCC’s new Mirdiff Centre in Dubai where she was responsible for implementing and overseeing wellness and beauty promotions, training, operations and customer relations. At the Grand Millennium Dubai, Afrah has responsibility for managing both the Jasmine Spa with its nine treatment rooms and comprehensive range of treatments, and the other hotel recreation facilities including the pool deck, fitness facility and Jacuzzi and sauna, plus promoting retail products as part of the spa operation. She said, “First and foremost, my plan is to focus on client care. We must explore our guest’s needs in order to meet and exceed his/her expectations. We believe our service has to add value to our guests. Hence we are open to any feedback / comments to provide the best to our clients.” |
