Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai Supports Arthritis Workshop

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel in Dubai will host the Power to Move – Action for Arthritis educational day being organised by the Emirates Arthritis Foundation on October 12.

The event will feature not only workshop seminars but also an array of fun activities aimed at improving knowledge and treatment of this condition which can have a profound impact on the sufferer’s quality of life, according to hotel General Manager Scott Butcher.

“Our CSR campaign is designed around real social and community good. Our aim is to create awareness about pressing local and international causes – be it medical, social, environmental or any other – and we are delighted be one of the key sponsors of Power to Move,” he said. “The day promises to be an amazing combination of information and entertainment with activities ranging from salsa dancing demonstrations through to food and beverage tasting stations and more serious seminars on symptoms, stress relief and complementary therapies.”

An additional attraction is an address by Tai Chi Grand Master Willie Lim, a US-based practitioner who specializes in working with sufferers from rheumatic diseases, as well as seminars on cooking for health and dressing for comfort.

Entrance is free, and there are also two additional bookable events taking place at the Park Regis Kris Kin on the day – a lunch featuring inspirational two local Arab ladies who have overcome the odds to climb Mount Everest and reach the North Pole (price AED150), and ‘Stand Up for Arthritis’, a comedy evening with buffet (AED 295 per person).
